Vitamins that are good for our hair

As well as being taken in the form of a pill, you can find many vitamins in the foods that you eat.

Vitamin A helps to heal dry hair. It is found in foods such as dairy products, green and yellow fruits and vegetables.

Vitamin E helps prevent dry, dull falling out hair and is found in asparagus, broccoli, brussels sprouts, butter, dried legumes, egg yolks, leafy greens, liver, olives, soybeans, sunflower seeds, vegetable oils, wheat germ, and whole grains.

Vitamin B-5 thickens and repairs damaged hair with Paba, while folic acid helps restore colour. It is found in Avocados, bananas, beef, cauliflower, chicken, corn, dark leafy greens, eggs, nuts, potatoes, salmon and tuna fish.

Biotin aids in the prevention of hair loss. It is found in dry legumes, egg yolk, kidney, milk fresh vegetables, and nuts.
The following Vitamins are also used to maintain healthy hair in general:

Vitamin B: found in brewers yeast, liver, and whole grains.

Vitamin B-1: found in pork, poultry, nuts, lean beef, and dried legumes, liver, whole grains and brewers yeast.

Vitamin B-2: found in nuts, liver, poultry, beef, pork, brewers yeast, rhubarb, seafood, whole grains and dairy products.

Choline: found in nuts, legumes, leafy greens, and egg yolks.

Inositol: found in backstrap molasses, citrus fruits, milk, nuts, and lima beans.

Minerals that are good for our hair

The following are minerals that can help your various hair problems:

Chromium is used for the improvement of circulation in the scalp. It can be found in brewers yeast, corn, liver, clams, corn oil, meat, whole grains, and cheese.

Copper helps the prevention of hair loss. Find it in mushrooms, shellfish, whole grains, nuts, chicken, pork liver, beef, and leafy greens.

Iodine promotes healthy hair and is found in kelp, seafood, iodized salt, onions and vegetable oils.

Iron promotes and maintains healthy hair. It is found in blackstrap molasses, dried fruits and legumes, whole wheat, liver, lean meat, dark leafy greens, and egg yolks.

Manganese is good for maintaining healthy hair and is found in tea, whole grains, pineapple, nuts, legumes, leafy greens, coffee, beets, bran, egg yolks, beets, and bananas.
